Dell Inspiron Mini Netbook

I have been using this little laptop for a few months now and have really come to love it. I thought it would be for very occasional use, but I have found myself using it much more than I expected. The unit I bought has Windows XP, integrated webcam and 8 GB SSD hard drive. I wanted to opt for the Ubuntu Linux version , but the XP one was cheaper that day with a coupon code. Battery life has been great, much better than my other laptops. Typing is a bit cumbersome at first due to the downsized keyboard, but you get use to it quickly (better than a Blackberry!).  The low max resolution seems weird at first but you also adapt to that. I have had a few issues though viewing some websites. I have only missed not having a disc drive twice in 4 months of use.

I have been looking for a neoprene sleeve for it but haven’t found one that fits well yet.

Pros: price, design, light (just over 2 lbs), great battery life, fast

Cons: shows every smudge, speakers (often can’t hear even when volume is maxed out), my son keeps ’stealing’ it
